Regeneration of Seaside Towns

BALPPA gives evidence to Parliamentary inquiry

On 16th October, BALPPA Chief Executive Paul Kelly gave evidence to the House of Lords Select Committee on the regeneration of seaside towns. This newly created committee is one of several formed each year to undertake an inquiry into a particular area, before publishing a formal report with recommendations for Ministers.

Not only was this an excellent opportunity for BALPPA to raise its profile within Parliament, it also gave Paul a chance to communicate some of the industry’s key lobbying priorities, in particular with regards to Brexit, future access to the EU labour market and school holidays.

A recording of the session can be viewed on the parliamentlive.tv website.
